Hm, for what architecture are the binary downloads compiled? Do you need to compile yourself when you want Seamonkey for amd64?

i tried upgrading to 2.02. it “deleted” all my data. ok star over. then indiscoved that virus checking caused a severe race condition in seamonkey. I backed off to 1.7.13 and the race condition vanished. perhaps i have some security failure. but it is a problem with 2.02. I could not operate the program normally. the race condition would freeze the mouse and sometimes kill the system.
now 1.7.13 has been reinstalled. and reconstr;ucted all my previous archive data. there is a servere poblem with an incompatiblity with older email in mozilla.

Had an old version of SeaMonkey and was told that a new version was available. Down loaded and installed. Went to email and only thing that came up was something to do with SeaMonkey and couldn’t view my Mail anymore. What is the secret? and why does it interfere with my mail program?
