Hi all,
Just would like to announce that SeaMonkey 2.53.2 has been released.
Thanks to the SeaMonkey dev team for their hard work!
:ewong
NB: Still practicing on making announcements.. this one might be a bit short.. somewhat overloaded a bit right now.
Thanks again. I just upgraded on my decade old PCs (64-bit Debian Jessie v8 and 64-bit W7 HPE SP1). So far, so good! Now, go to sleep.

Wow! Great news!! So quickly 😉
Regards.
Fantastic! Another great release from the Seamonkey team.
Hello development team!
Thanks for keeping SeaMonkey up and available for the future!
However, I have to support a comment already placed by someone else to the release of 2.53.1:
in Linux (Debian), there is no sound output anymore, while plain Firefox on the same system works well. Annoying, as I prefer SeaMonkey over plain Firefox, but have to use that now for audio purposes.
How can it be resolved?
Best regards,
Hans-Juergen

It is broken for me. Compiles ok, and starts, but the window is mostly empty:

Regarding my above post, someone else posted about the same problem, and their fix was to delete the profile and start it again from scratch, email setup, history, etc:

….that is bad news, having to do that.
Hi,
I noticed duckduckgo being the default search engine in SeaMonkey.
Duckduckgo does not collect the data of its users, however they put some ads in their search. I want to suggest to use https://search.disroot.org/ or other SearX Instances. You can find other trade-free search engines here: https://www.trade-free.org/directory/?s=search+engine
Kind regards
Aaron
